Cheap Tuesday — 15 GEL tickets for everyone

FOMO Cinema · Tbilisi

The films other cinemas won't show.

FOMO is Tbilisi's independent cult cinema and SHEREKILEBI bar.

22 seats hiding behind a secret entrance. SHEREKILEBI Bar in front. Open-Air cinema on the rooftop after dark. Original-language films with English subtitles.

Small cinema big taste.

At FOMO we're not trying to show everything.

We screen the films we think are worth leaving the house for. Cult classics, new independents, world cinema, overlooked masterpieces, and the occasional kind of strange and esoteric discovery that leaves half the room wondering what the hell they just watched.

Come early for a drink at SHEREKILEBI Bar. Stay after the credits. Argue about the film at the bar with our usual crowd of eccentrics.

SHEREKILEBI

A bar for Tbilisi's eccentrics.

Named after Eldar Shengelaia's Georgian cult film SHEREKILEBI, or THE ECCENTRICS. It seemed appropriate.

The bar opens 1 hour before the first screening and stays open late. Craft beer, natural wine, cocktails and non-alcoholic drinks, plus fresh popcorn and snacks. Come early, stay after the credits, or drop in for a drink even if you're not seeing a film.

Good films tend to produce better arguments. We provide the bar. Ask us for the menu when you arrive.

FOMO Film Club

FOMO Film Club

Join the community keeping FOMO weird.

FOMO Film Club is for people who want to support independent cinema in Tbilisi and make moviegoing a monthly habit.

Enjoy four films every month, free popcorn, priority seating, discounts in SHEREKILEBI Bar and much much more.

Monthly membership gives you the flexibility to join month by month. Yearly members and Lifetime Founders go further. Their commitment gives FOMO reliable support by allowing us to maintain our programming independence, and take chances on films that wouldn't normally find a screen in Tbilisi.

Our Story

Film is our life.

We're David and Danica, two Australians who moved to Tbilisi and built the cinema we wanted to go to ourselves.

FOMO started as a 15-seat micro-cinema on Arnold Chikobava Street. We loved it. It was humble, full of character and had a tiny wine bar attached. But pretty quickly, we realised we had bigger plans.

Outside the original 15-seat micro-cinema on Arnold Chikobava Street

In 2025, we moved FOMO to Bazari Orbeliani. We expanded the indoor cinema, built the Open-Air Cinema on the rooftop and turned the space around it into a proper lounge bar. We wanted FOMO to be somewhere you could come for a film and stay afterwards for a drink, a conversation, a meeting or just to hang out with friends.

The program matters just as much as the space.

We take a lot of care over what we show each week. More often than not, the films are connected by a theme, a filmmaker, an actor, a country or an idea. We don't program according to prestige or popularity. We show films because we think they deserve an audience.

If it's good, we'll show it.

That means new independent releases, cult classics, major works of cinema and films that are stranger, harder to market or simply harder to find. We're happy to take a chance on a film with a small audience if we believe it deserves to be seen properly on a big screen.

We also want FOMO to be the first place filmmakers think of when they want to show their work in Tbilisi. We host premieres, visiting filmmakers, festivals, special events and independent films from Georgia and around the world.

FOMO is still growing. We keep improving the cinemas, investing in better equipment, growing our Film Club and finding new ways to bring audiences and filmmakers together.

This isn't a side project for us. FOMO is our life, and we're grateful to every person who comes through the door and chooses to be part of it.
